vSphere 7.0 U1 introduced vcls feature. After creating cluster, vcls vms will be deployed automatically. But we recently seen an issue, where VM was failed to power on.
This is known issue if your hardware is Lenovo/IBM. By default vcls VMs have Per-VM EVC option enabled and Monitor/MWAIT BIOS setting is disabled in Lenovo/IBM hardware. Even if you don’t use EVC feature in cluster level, still you need to enable Monitor/MWAIT in BIOS.
Once this BIOS setting is enabled, vcls vm will be powered on automatically.
